Summary: Best Yet
Comment: I have owned a Plantronics Voyager 510 for a year and a half now and it is still functioning well. Has had some rough use and abuse and it has held up fine. Really like the fit on the ear and it is quite comfortable.

This unit replaced two other brands that had echo, electronic noise and other issues. Happily it has none of the these. Only issue has been that it occassionally will uncouple from my phone (LG VX8300) for no apparent reason. Doesn't happen during a call, just when on standby.

Despite the periodic annoyance with the above, I really like this headset and highly recommend it.

Summary: excellent sound
Comment: I got this and a Motorola headset for my wife at the same time. Sure, it looks kinda dorky but the sound quality is excellent - no wind noise! People find it easier to hear me on the headset than without it. Its a little tricky to tell if it is charging - the connection can be a bit wobbly. Otherwise I'd give it a full 5 stars.

Summary: Wrong in so many ways...
Comment: I had really high expectations for this headset, given its 4.5 star rating. What I didn't expect was the following:

1) It doesn't fit. I have completely normal ears, but the speaker nub doesn't line up with my ear canal, and there's no way to adjust it. Look at the shape of the headset. It sits over the top of your ear and the rest of it just hangs from there. This does a poor job of keeping things aligned.

2) It interferes with my glasses. I can comfortably wear glasses with other headsets shaped like the Motorola HS850 or the Jawbone, but not this one.

3) The controls on this one don't work well. They're way more complicated than "older" models and actually make their use less reliable. For one, the bluetooth signal doesn't bond automatically like my HS850. It doesn't make a clear sound when it links up. And, if you press the side button for too short a time, you'll redial the last number instead of activating voice dialing.

4) Battery life is shamefully short for something that should be able to function at lower volume, due to the supposed proximity of the speaker to the ear canal.

5) It doesn't use a standard charger type. One of the nicest things about some of the headsets you can get is they use the same charger as your phone. This one does not.

At the end of the day, I've found this headset to be both frustrating and completely unusable because of its shape and the inability to adjust it. Other headsets solve this problem by making the entire speaker rest over the ear canal without trying to get right into it.

For you, if you want to take a gamble and hope this headset will fit you, by all means give it a go. If this is your first headset, I would advise getting your feet wet with something a little less expensive and a little easier to use first. I've had good luck with the Motorola HS850, which is now only $24.

Summary: Good sound, comfortable and easy on your wallet!
Comment: The headset works very well. The noise reduction is not that great, the Jawbone is better at it. However, the overall sound quality both ways is better and the fit is more comfortable than the Jawbone. It is light and seems large at first but is very easy to fold up and is quite sturdy. Especially for the price, this is a great choice!
