It does not slide even when you slam on brakes or turn sharply. I carry it in my suitcase with my garmin and dont have to pay the rental company each time for a GPS rental. Makes it extremely easy to use your unit in multiple vehicles without having to adhere suction cups to you windshield and never leaves marks on your windshield. The mount remains stationary on my dash & has never moved around, even on sharp turns. Another nice feature is that your power cord can plug into the back of the mount, instead of directly into the GPS unit, making it very easy to remove the GPS unit from the mount without having to play with wires.
